Our Technology
At Cherry Blossom Dental Care, our top priority is to ensure our patients are comfortable and relaxed as much as possible during their visits. With modern technology, we are able to perform dental procedures with no or little discomfort. Our advanced digital x-rays, CBCT (Cone Beam Computer Tomography), and intraoral camera enables a better diagnosis and better treatment.
Panorex
A Panorex x-ray dental machine can identify issues and structures that a normal x-ray can’t. It has the ability to view the full structure of your head, which is very informative to our dentist. We can see potential problems and address concerns before they become more extensive problems.
Intraoral Camera
An Intraoral camera can view different angles in the mouth. This allows us to view the entire mouth on a monitor, giving us a closer look at potential issues or problems that may not be visible with naked eyes.
Digital X-Ray
A digital x-ray allows us to take an image of your teeth and put it into an imaging program. With this program, we are able to use a number of tools that will allow us to take a closer look at your teeth and surrounding structures with remarkable accuracy.
Digital x-rays provide minimum radiation than a standard x-ray and there is no need to wait for developing the films. The images are instantly visible on the computer monitor.
CBCT or Cone Beam Computed Tomography
The CBCT is used to evaluate the soft and hard tissue structure with more clarity. The uses of CBCT includes but is not limited to study of bone quality, density and amount of bone, for placement of implants, periodontal problems, endodontic treatments, pathology, evaluation of impacted tooth and tooth position. The image can be taken in about 16 seconds with very low amount of radiation.
Laser Dentistry
Diode laser has many applications in dentistry. Some areas that it can benefit patients include dental cleaning, routine dental cleaning known as dental prophy, deep cleaning known as scaling root planing, and dental debridement.
The diode laser used in our office has a wavelength of 810 nm. The high energy of laser is transmitted through a very fine tip to the area of interest and reduces the number of bacteria that is damaging the soft tissue. Laser is target specific and PAINLESS.
